The Knowledge of Mountains

Left to its own devices, how does the clay know how to look like a mountain?
Where does that knowledge reside,
in the secret interior spaces between the molecules?

It has a desire to manifest its true nature,
inside, where no one can see.

Outside, contained and constrained by usefulness,
the knowledge of mountains,
immutable, abides.
