Hi there. My name is Kimberly and I am Elizabeth Charlesworth’s cousin. I am also an amateur potter. I will be coming to Toronto for a visit in june and would really like to combine my visit with some sort of a workshop. Liz thought you might have some ideas of where I might look. Let me know if anything comes to mind. Thanks so much

Hi Kimberly, Thanks for your message, sorry for the delay in responding.

If you are in town for the weekend of June 3-5, I am having an open studio tour as part of the Toronto West Art Collective tour http://www.arttour.info

On June 18-19 there is a big festival in Mississauga called Mississauga Waterfront Festival. http://www.themwf.com The Mississauga Potters Guild will have a booth set up and you can try throwing on the wheel for free!

Mississauga Potters Guild also has Open Studio time every Sunday from 1-3pm (except June 19 when all the wheels will be transported to the Waterfront Festival) Open Studio is totally free time for you to make whatever you want on the wheel. You can also arrange to have it fired.

Finally, The Gardiner Museum has drop-in classes and one workshop in June. http://www.gardinermuseum.on.ca/education-information/clay-classes

    I hope this is helpful!

    Rgds,
    LeeAnn
