Nature is an intrinsic aspect of Canadian cultural identity and as such, we cannot help but feel connected with the wilderness. Despite the booming digital age and the inevitability of society moving away from nature towards urbanity, we still feel a need to hold on to our sense of the wild.   Based on principle that the environment is a unique result of society and social progress, Wilderness Heart looks to the interconnectivity between the human experience, space, the natural landscape and the body.  Adopting an intimate perspective, “Wilderness Heart” will unearth the unfamiliar landscape and reveal the plasticity of an internal, strange and often surreal wilderness. Our conception of what is wild is ever expanding; we seek to highlight the palette of possibilities for experiencing and understanding our environment.
